To expand our sales team in Europe, we are currently looking for an import sales manager to manage our sales of fruit imported from different continents, to our customers in all European countries.

You must have a culture adapted to our company, this is extremely important:

– Be motivated.

– Provide excellent service to producers, customers and other team members.

– Act quickly!

– Be a team player.

– Understand how important reputation is in this industry.

– Treat everyone with respect and empathy – don’t be an asshole!

This is specifically for selling imported products lawyers, blueberries, and Grapes. If you have experience in any of these categories, apply without hesitation!

Although we have clients in several European countries (such as retailers, wholesalers, importers and catering companies), it is also highly recommended that you bring some of your own connections.

The fruits you will sell come both from our team in Europe, our other divisions (Americas, Africa, Oceania), as well as your own efforts. We have growers / packers / shippers all over the world, but it is highly recommended that you bring your own connections as well.

While you will be working from home your ability to visit customers / suppliers / producers, attend exhibitions and visit our other Terra Exports divisions around the world is very important.

You must have at least 1 year of experience in the fruit and vegetable industry, ideally in an import sales role.

Communication is key, and since our head office is in the United States, we will need you to be proficient in the English language. Multilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!

This is a sales position, so if you don’t like sales and negotiation, this position is not for you.

Although this position reports to our Europe Division Manager, it is extremely important that you are motivated and that you do not need constant supervision or micro-management.

Although we are very tech-savvy and use WhatsApp in a meaningful way throughout the company, it is extremely important to speak on the phone every day with our team, producers, service providers and customers.

You need to understand that in international business the 9 to 5 mindset is just an aspiration that rarely materializes. It is important that you are readily available when the opportunity arises.

A competitive base salary is offered, as well as a bonus based on the achievement of sales targets.
