We have an exciting vacancy for a sales professional to join our fast-paced and dynamic team.
Reporting to the Audio Editor and Director of Sales – Online and Digital, the role will include curating, selling and marketing our US company’s titles in the UK covering fiction, non-fiction and book titles for children. The role includes liaising regularly with the US office to agree the US global rights titles we bring to the UK. You will be responsible for uploading title information to our library system, setting release dates and prices, working with the inventory team to agree order quantities, managing the current list and generally defending titles with the UK and Irish sales teams so that all sales opportunities are maximized. You will work alongside a dedicated publicist on the roster.
The profile of the candidate:
We are looking for a motivated individual who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of the UK book market. You will be an analytical thinker, detail-oriented, and have a proven understanding of margins, profits, and sales data. You must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills. You must always be ready for new challenges, flexible and determined to succeed. You will have prowess for multitasking and innovative thinking and will be able to work alone and in a team.
We are looking for someone who will be comfortable interacting with a large sales team and who will be able to build strong relationships with our colleagues in the US office, but most importantly, someone who is passionate about books .
